What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chinook Bar Back position at Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort Hotel?
SUMMARY:
The Bar Back keeps the bar stocked with product during the hours of operation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure beer, wine, and liquor is stocked at all times.
- Secure alcohol during non-operational hours in accordance with all applicable local, county, and state liquor laws.
- Assist bartenders and cocktail servers with general closing duties.
- Check identification for all guests that appear under the age of 30 and attempting to purchase alcohol in accordance with all applicable local, county, and state liquor laws.
- Ensure mixers and garnish trays are stocked at all times.
- Maintain full and sanitary ice bins.
- Wash and stock glassware.
- Transport garbage to outside dumpsters.
- Assist in general cleaning of the bar during operational hours.
- Clean dishwasher and ensure it is operational.
- Stock plates, napkins, silverware, and condiments for food service.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- Must have six months previous bar or restaurant experience.
- Tips card or Alcohol Serve Safe Certificate preferred.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Cashiering skills preferred.
- Knowledge of the various aspects of bartending preferred.
- Must be able well in a team environment.
- Must be adept at multi-tasking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills preferred.
- Presentation and organizational skills preferred.
- Must be able to follow detailed instructions precisely.
- Should understand the theory of progressive discipline.
