The Surveyor role will be an hourly position reporting to the Lead Surveyor. The position will be responsible for surface and underground survey duties at the mine, including heading markup, laser installation, stope layouts, drill station layouts, and as-built activities for all excavated areas of the mine. Additional surface duties include monitoring and layout of surface excavations. This position operates on a rotational schedule: 15 days on-site and 13 days off.

Responsibilities
- Safely and properly apply standard surveying procedures and practices while ensuring accuracy
- Provide line & grade for all development, stoping, and geologic drilling activities.
- Tracking and reporting progress of all active mine excavations daily.
- Perform as-built surveys for all mining excavations, long-hole drilling & diamond drilling and stopes.
- Provide survey data in electronic format to engineering and geology groups
- Coordinate daily survey activities with mine operations to ensure targets are achieved.
- Collaborate with Mine Operations, Geology, and project teams to provide survey information as required.
- Assist the mine planning group on weekly and monthly reporting.
- Assist with coverage, when necessary, in any departmental functions that appropriate training has been provided for.
- Ability to work safe and promote safe behavior in others.
- Responsibilities and compensation will be based upon experience. 3 years of experience preferred working within an underground mining environment.
- The ability to follow complex written and oral instructions, with sound knowledge of mining methods is required. Strong verbal and written communications skills are critical to this position.
- Proficiency with Vulcan, Deswik (or similar) mine planning software, Trimble total stations and, Microsoft Office computer software greatly desired.
- Current FAA 107 certification for the operation of underground and surface survey drones is preferred.
- Proficient in the use of Trimble total stations and surface GNSS receivers.
