Coeur Mining is a U.S.-based, well-diversified, growing, precious metals producer with four wholly-owned operations : the Palmarejo gold-silver complex in Mexico, the Rochester silver-gold mine in Nevada, the Kensington gold mine in Alaska and the Wharf gold mine in South Dakota. About the Job :
The Mine Engineering Intern with will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the development of cutting-edge mining projects. You will be exposed to various aspects of mining operations, including planning, design, safety, and environmental compliance. This internship will provide you with a well-rounded understanding of the mining sector and the opportunity to work on real projects that make a difference.
Responsibilities :
- Mine Planning : Assist in mine planning activities, including short-term and long-term mine design, optimization, and scheduling.
- Data Analysis : Analyze geological and geotechnical data to support mining operations, ensuring safe and efficient extraction of mineral resources.
- Safety : Participate in safety programs and initiatives, promoting a culture of safety within the workplace.
- Equipment and Technology : Gain exposure to the operation and maintenance of mining equipment and cutting-edge technology used in the industry.
- Reporting : Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation related to mining projects, providing insights and recommendations to the engineering team.
- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including geologists, geotechnical engineers, and environmental specialists, to achieve project goals.
