The Inventory Coordinator will report to the Warehouse Supervisors and is responsible for optimizing inventory levels, managing cycle counts, and implementing disposal or resale strategies for obsolete materials. The schedule for this position is 4 days on at the mine site located about 45-miles north of Juneau, accessible only through company transportation, and 3 days off.

Coeur Alaska provides a relocation benefit for roles that require residency in Juneau, Alaska of up to $10,000 if relocating from out-of-state, or up to $5,000 if relocating from in-state.

About The Job
The Inventory Coordinator will report to the Warehouse Supervisors and is responsible for optimizing inventory levels, managing cycle counts, and implementing disposal or resale strategies for obsolete materials. Responsibilities
- Work with end user departments to establish and maintain min/max levels based on requirements, historical usage, forecasted consumption and lead times.
- Assist in providing information required to establish new item codes in the materials management system.
- Timely release of items to the reorder system once minimum stocking levels are breached.
- Month end reconciliation for bulk and vendor held stock.
- Manage cycle count processes and reconciliations.
- Manage obsolete inventory and disposing of or selling in the most effective way.
- Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of all health and safety procedures on site.
- Assist in the monitoring and consumption data for all bulk materials at the mine site.
- Assist with warehouse design and setup.
- Ensure reports (such as month end and quarterly reports) are submitted timely as required.
- Assist with training of new warehouse personnel and provide backup for warehouse technician staff including issuing, receiving and unloading of freight, shipping documentation, other.
- Safety: A strong commitment to safety protocols and an understanding of safety regulations and ability to promote safe behaviors in others.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Relevant work experience in inventory management, preferably in a mining or heavy industry setting, is highly desirable.
- Inventory Management Systems: Proficiency in using inventory management software is crucial. Familiarity with Oracle is preferred.
- Excel and Spreadsheet Skills: Mastery of Microsoft Excel is essential for data analysis, reporting, and creating inventory spreadsheets. Knowledge of advanced Excel functions and formulas is a plus.
- Documentation and Reporting: Proficiency in Microsoft Word for creating documents, and reports is important.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail required for accurately tracking and managing inventory levels.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills are necessary to keep track of inventory levels, orders, and shipments, especially in a remote environment.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: The ability to identify and address inventory discrepancies, shortages, or issues in a timely manner is crucial for preventing operational disruptions.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication both verbal and written is essential for coordinating with various teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: An understanding of data analysis and the ability to draw meaningful insights from inventory data is a must.
- Teamwork: Collaborating with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and operations occur daily so the ability to work effectively in a team is essential.
- Knowledge of Mining Processes: Familiarity with mining processes and equipment is a plus.
- Remote Work Experience: Experience with remote work and the ability to self-manage, stay motivated, and meet deadlines while working independently are essential.
- Preference given to Alaskan residents.
