About the Job :
Reporting to the Mine General Supervisor, the Mine Trainer is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing training programs to ensure the safety, compliance, and skill development of all mine employees. This role requires collaboration with operations, safety teams, and management to maintain a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to mining regulations.
Responsibilities :
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for new hires, equipment operators, supervisors, and contractors.
- Conduct safety, compliance, and skills training in accordance with MSHA and company regulations.
- Develop job-specific and refresher training for various mining roles, including surface and underground operations.
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure all employees meet regulatory training requirements.
- Prepare training documentation and reports for internal audits and external regulatory inspections.
- Stay updated on MSHA regulations and ensure training programs reflect current standards.
- Work closely with operations managers and supervisors to identify training needs.
- Schedule and coordinate training sessions with minimal disruption to production.
- Serve as a liaison between the safety department and operations teams to address training-related safety concerns.
- Evaluate training program effectiveness and implement improvements based on feedback and performance outcomes.
- Introduce innovative training methods, including virtual simulations or hands-on learning, to enhance program engagement.
