What are the responsibilities and job description for the Math Coach position at Coffee Co?
- Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred from an accredited educational institution.
- Required Alabama Professional Teaching Certificate for Teaching in Elementary Classroom.
- Five years of successful full-time grades K-6 classroom practice demonstrated by student performance on state/district assessments.
- Effective Tier II intervention experience.
- Excellent communication skills with outstanding presentation, interpersonal, and time management skills, as evidenced by working well with colleagues and adult learners.
- Must meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama Statutes and State Board of Education regulations.
The Math Coach will function solely as a mathematics coach for elementary-grade students with supervision and strong support from the district and building administrators.
The Math Coach is to create measurable increases in student learning and in teacher application of effective mathematics teaching practices. The Math Coach will provide job-embedded learning experiences for teachers in order to improve the teachers' content knowledge, skill, and delivery of instruction.
