Coffee Kiosk Barista

Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Cashier/Barista to join our team for morning shifts in a fast-paced coffee kiosk. Our ideal candidate is quick, and precise, and loves to make excellent tasting drinks all while chatting with our delightful customers. If you have a passion for coffee and people, possess good math skills to complete cash transactions, and multitasker is your middle name, we want to meet you!

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and provide friendly, quick, and excellent customer service throughout their visit.
• Accurately process customer transactions using the cash register and Square POS system.
• Listen attentively to ensure that you take accurate orders.
• Restock cups, syrups, milk, etc.
• Memorize recipes for all drinks.
• Steam milk, pull espresso shots, prep any concentrates.
• Assist customers with coffee menu recommendations based on their preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee trailer, adhering to food safety standards.
• Prepare coffee and other beverages as per customer requests, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Be able to stand for extended periods.
• Enjoy working closely with one additional staff member.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with other staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Experience

• Previous experience in a sales or customer service role, especially within the food industry or café setting, is preferred, but not necessary. We will train the right energetic and friendly candidate.
• Familiarity with cash handling processes and proficiency in basic math skills for transaction accuracy.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus. Will need to obtain Food Handler's Permit within 4 weeks of starting employment.
• Basic computer/electronic type skills.
• Familiarity with social media posting for IG and FB a plus!
• A passion for coffee, trends in coffee drinks, and a desire to help customers enjoy their experience is essential.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 24 per week
