South Umpqua School District has an opening for a Dean of Students at Coffenberry Middle School for the 2025/2026 school year.
Douglas County is located in Southern Oregon along the I-5 corridor. Our School District consists of 5 schools serving students from the communities of Canyonville, Myrtle Creek, and Tri-City.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • A valid Oregon Teaching License
• Minimum of three years of successful teaching in a public-school setting, preferably experience at the secondary level
• Experience coaching and providing feedback to teachers
• Knowledge of and experience with Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently with staff, students, and parents.
Position Summary: Provides and promotes a comprehensive, developmental program of student supervision and student management that will assist students in achieving optimal success in academics and personal-social growth. Works collaboratively, in this regard, with administrators, school staff, parents and community members.
