As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Coffey Health System, you will be an essential part of our rehabilitation team in Burlington, Kansas. Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients.
- Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises and modalities.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and home exercise programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients during therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy techniques and patient care practices.
- Experience in outpatient settings is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including geriatrics and pediatrics.
