Narrative General Description
The Director of Marketing will provide the leadership for strategic and tactical planning in marketing for the college. The Director shall coordinate with the Vice President for Student Services for placement of all advertising, press releases, and the coordination of all college promotional printing and digital media to support the educational and promotional needs of the College.

Supervises the following staff:
Graphic & Communication Specialist
Media Production Specialists
Digital Communications Specialist
Assigned Work-study students
Scholarship students
Required knowledge, skills, and personal qualifications.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Excellent public speaking skills.
- Self starter-ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Within six months of the date of hire, required to maintain a physical place of residence within the CCC service area throughout their employment.
- Demonstrated organizational skills in handling, directing and prioritizing multiple and complex assignments and projects.
- Ability to work under pressure (deadlines).
- Ability to work well with a diverse population.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies and various media operations.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, college employees and the public.
- Knowledge of or the ability to learn Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator or other design software. Knowledge of Premiere Pro is helpful.
- Knowledge of digital and print advertisement and marketing in order to create strategic plans to promote the college.
- Analytical, creative and persuasive in writing ability.
- Ability to manage, analyze and report data effectively.
- Supervisory experience.
Required Experience
- At least three years experience in education, business, marketing, communications, or public relations.
- Demonstrated ability in organizational skills.
- Strong background in publishing, writing, editing, media relations and advertising.
- Experience in budget development and administration.
Required Educational Background
A Master’s Degree in Marketing or Graphic Design from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education is preferred. A Bachelor’s degree is required. Professional certifications are recommended.
