Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, or "CRMC", is a 25-bed, non-profit, critical access hospital serving Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma since 1949. As a rural hospital, CRMC is surprising because of its large size and wide variety of services. Although we can provide many of the same services you will find in a big city, we take great pride in our friendly and caring staff.
The Medical Technologist is a qualified professional with in-depth knowledge of biology, chemistry and various medical equipment. The Med Tech collects and organizes samples for examination and works with medical professionals to ensure results are correct.
JOB DUTIES
- Collect and prepare blood, urine and tissue samples for analysis
- Examine collected samples and identify any cell abnormalities
- Maintain laboratory inventory levels and if necessary, place orders for new supplies
- Prepare detailed reports about your test results and findings
- Document and review tested data
- Ensure all tissues samples are prepared for examination
- Collaborate with pathologist and other medical specialists to determine correct diagnosis if cell abnormalities are discovered
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
The Medical Technolgoist assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
