Purpose and Scope:
- Manages inventory control operations. Implements policies, objectives, and initiatives. Employs standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency. Assists with inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, and control operations. Implements Inventory tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities and develop best inventory management practices.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing an inventory tracking system for optimized inventory control procedures.
- Examine the levels of raw materials and supplies to determine shortages.
- Document daily shipments and deliveries to replenish inventory.
- Create detailed reports and adjustments, inventory operations and stock levels.
- Evaluating new inventory, ensuring it’s ready to ship.
- Properly order new supplies avoiding excessive surplus or inefficiencies.
- Analyze various suppliers to ensure the company is receiving the best cost-effective deals.
- Hire and train new employees.
Job Competency / Qualifications
Education/ Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or relevant field.
Technical Requirements:
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements and other related safety policies and best practices.
Experience:
- A minimum of Five (5) years of professional experience working in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations.
