What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Supervisor position at COFREIGHT INC?
Supervises inventory control operations and teams according to established policies. Follows standard procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency. Assists with inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, and control operations. Utilizes inventory tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to implement and support initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities using best inventory management practices.
- Ensures inventory is accurately recorded and tracked.
- Assist inventory controller conduct daily/weekly/monthly cycle count and physical inventory count.
- Inspect and troubleshoot inventory problems electronically.
- Creates new procedures to become more efficient and to respond to business changes, heavy emphasis on automated processes.
- Balances inventory between all divisions through inventory systems.
- Reviews and audits inventory reports and inventory system.

Job Competency / Qualifications
Education/ Training:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
- Associate degree preferred).
Technical Requirements:
- Proficiency in software like SAP, Oracle, or specialized inventory systems.
- Ability to analyze data using tools such as Excel, SQL, or data visualization software (e.g., Tableau).
- Understanding of supply chain processes and methodologies like Just-In-Time (JIT).
- Experience with process improvement techniques (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Skills to resolve issues with inventory systems and technologies.
Experience:
- Minimum of Three (3) Years' work experience in Supply Chain, Logistics or Warehouse setting required.
