Description
Under supervision of the MIS Director, responsible for defining the architecture and support of EHR system in a healthcare environment.
This is not a remote position. The person in this position is required to work on site.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or a combination of education/training and work experience equivalent to an BS degree
- Must have working technical knowledge, including database management, proficiency in programing languages such as, but not limited to (C , Java, Python, JavaScript), and understanding of software development methodologies.
- Previous experience or knowledge of the following applications highly desired but not required:
- Oracle
- Cerner Millennium
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- System Integrations: Integrating EHR software with other healthcare systems and databases
- Data Management: Developing and maintaining data and reporting from an EHR system.
- Compliance: Ensuring HER systems meet regulatory standards like HIPAA and other relevant health information privacy laws.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Identifying and resolving bugs, ensuring system performance and stability.
- Collaboration: working with other software engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Documentation: Creating and maintaining documentation for EHR software, including user manuals, techniques, how to guides, and technical specifications.
- Reporting: Working with hospital staff to ensure proper reporting for various health-related standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
