Job Description:
All work products resulting from the project shall be considered works made for hire and are the property of the HHSC. HHSC may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Workers) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by the Texas law. HHSC will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Worker(s).
Performs Front End/UI application development, enhancement, maintenance, and support for Social Services User Interface applications.
Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
As a member of the team, participate in requirements analysis, high-level and detailed design, development, testing and deployment of new application components, as required.
Analyze UI framework, libraries for configuration & performance tuning opportunities, as required.
- Hands-on experience in Front End/UI development, enhancing and maintaining enterprise-class applications using Angular and/or similar frameworks on the J2EE application development platform
- Hands-on experience participating in all phases of the SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle)
- Hands-on UI development experience implementing Authentication and Authorization, Caching strategies
- Hands-on programming experience in following languages: HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, CSS3, Bootstrap, SASS, Angular, Typescript, JSON, XML, ES5/ES6, NPM, Maven and/or other UI frameworks/libraries.
- Demonstrable experience developing, optimizing, and maintaining an enterprise-level Front End/UI application including complete ownership of the front-end stack (JavaScript/HTML/CSS, Angular and/or other UI frameworks).
- Experience implementing Client-facing applications with responsive design and development
- Experience implementing SPAs with JS or with libraries/frameworks like Angular
- Experience in development of self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components
- Strong understanding and experience of fundamental programming concepts of data structures, algorithms, performance, caching and scalability issues in the context of Web based UI applications
- Experience in developing and testing application user interface for ADA/Accessibility Compliance
- Experience in implementing best practices in the areas of application design, performance, scalability and maintainability.
- Experience in Test-driven development and test creation using frameworks such as Karma, Jasmine, Selenium
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot Java Applications
- Hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server 8 or later
- Hands-on experience with Agile Development Methodologies (preferably Scrum)
- Hands-on experience with web applications developed for Cloud platform
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD methodology
- Hands-on development experience for mobile and tablet platforms
