Cogent Infotech is a Global Consulting firm delivering innovative solutions to Government and Commercial Clients. Cogent holds 150 Government Contracts across the United States providing a variety of services in the areas of Consulting, Training and Staffing.
Cogent Infotech is hiring a Full-Desk Direct Hire Recruiter who will primarily be responsible for prospecting both new candidates and clients for Cogent Infotech’s Direct Hire division. Our Direct Hire Recruiters must be able to identify and network with prospective job seekers and develop recruiting strategies for specific open client positions with-in our State, Federal and Commercial business line.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Identify, network and sell to potential candidates /job seekers through creative recruiting strategy
Schedule and attend candidate interviews
Schedule and attend client meetings to generate new business and expand current business
Negotiate fees/ pay rates and close deals in accordance with company goals and expectations
Represent Cogent Infotech in a professional and positive manner in all interactions, including networking events and other activities outside of normal business hours
Develop and maintain relationships with hiring managers and key decision-makers at client companies to understand their specific hiring needs and identify suitable candidates.
Actively search for qualified candidates through various channels like job boards, professional networks, social media, referrals, cold calling, and internal database.
Review resumes, conduct initial phone screens, and assess candidate skills, experience, and fit for the role against client requirements.
Schedule and manage candidate interviews with hiring managers, provide necessary information and preparing candidates for the process.
Conduct in-depth interviews, reference checks, to thoroughly evaluate candidate potential.
Present qualified candidates to clients, negotiate compensation packages, benefits and extend job offers on behalf of the company.
Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the role.
Stay updated on industry trends, salary benchmarks, and competitive landscape to inform recruitment strategies.
Unlike a specialized recruiter who might focus on a specific function or skill set, a full desk recruiter handles all aspects of the recruitment process for a given client or industry.
May also be responsible for identifying new clients, building relationships, and generating business opportunities.
Due to managing the entire recruitment cycle, a full desk recruiter has a high level of ownership and accountability for successful placements.

Four-year degree or equivalent work experience in a Full Desk Direct Hire Role.
