We currently have a role available for a Cell Culture Biologist.
Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Generating high-quality cell stocks to support ongoing research and experimental needs.
- Performing cell culture procedures with precision and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in sterile technique to maintain sample integrity and prevent contamination required.
- Managing high-throughput, large scale cell culture expansions.
- Managing ten to fifteen cell lines simultaneously.
- Strong emphasis on high throughput cell line expansions, including management of ten plus cell lines simultaneously, needed.
- Creating, organizing, and restocking cell banks to maintain inventory and ensure availability for future studies.
- Preparing high-quality cell samples for implantation in in vivo experiments, adhering to strict quality and viability standards as well as aseptic technique.
- Conducting media preparation and maintain inventory of reagents and supplies.
Job requirements include, but are not limited to:
- BS-Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or a related field with minimum of 2-4 years of experience outside of academia working with mammalian cell culture.
- MS-Molecular Biology (or related field) with 1-2 years of experience outside of academia will also be considered.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- Works well both as a team and as an individual.
- Demonstration of excellent team player skills, very strong attention to detail, very strong problem-solving skills, a high level of learning agility, and the ability to work across functions. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the leadership and communication skills necessary to operate effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment with flexibility and an adaptable approach to goal delivery.
Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
