We currently have a role available for an Analytical Chemist in a pharmaceutical research lab setting.
Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Analytical support for Synthetic Technologies lab including sample preparation, processing, and interpretation of LC-MS, GC-MS, and NMR data.
- Hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance of various instrumentation including LC-MS, flash chromatography systems, DSC, XRF, photochemical reactors, flow reactors, etc. required.
- Working knowledge of SFC is a plus.
- Experience using and maintaining a glove box is a plus.
- Data analysis and method development across multiple techniques.
- Documenting laboratory work appropriately in laboratory notebooks and/or reports.
- Utilizing automated liquid handling instrumentation with experience using multichannel pipettes accurately.
Job requirements include, but are not limited to:
- BS-Chemistry (or related field) with 5 years of experience or MS-Chemistry with 2 years of experience in an industrial laboratory environment (pharma preferred).
- Knowledge of organic chemistry theory and techniques including stereochemistry, small-molecule purification, trituration, and crystallization with a strong background in data interpretation preferred.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- Works well both within a team and as an individual.
- Demonstration of excellent team player and collaboration skills, very strong attention to detail, very strong problem-solving skills, a high level of learning agility, and the ability to work across functions. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the leadership and communication skills necessary to operate effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment with flexibility and an adaptable approach to goal delivery.
Salary : $56,000 - $60,000
