We currently have a role available for a Pharmaceutical Purification Chemist.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and validating quantitative molecular and mammalian cellular assays to address mechanistic and functional questions in pre-clinical studies.
- Designing and executing key experiments to evaluate compound effects, identify combination partners, and investigate drug resistance.
- Translating preclinical findings to biomarkers and combination strategies to advance programs to clinical development.
- Participating in and presenting in project meetings to ensure assays meet the program needs and results are appropriately interpreted.
- Collaborating with different functional teams throughout the company to guide work toward project goals, communicating ongoing work and progress, and planning forward-thinking strategies.
- Preparing reports for internal and external purposes including regulatory submissions.
- Proactively investigating new or alternative technologies and evaluating service providers to ensure the work is conducted in a scientifically sound, efficient manner.
- Developing and continually advancing one’s knowledge base on the molecular pathways and the therapeutic area being targeted by our clinical and research programs.
Job requirements include, but are not limited to:
- PhD - Molecular/Cellular Biology or Biochemistry, or related fields with 0-5 years of hands-on molecular and cell biology experience in a post-doctoral/research/industry setting.
- BS-Molecular/Cellular Biology or Biochemistry with 8 years of hands-on molecular and cell biology experience in a biotech/pharma setting or MS with 6 years of experience will also be considered.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- Works well both within a team and as an individual.
- Demonstration of excellent team player and collaboration skills, very strong attention to detail, very strong problem-solving skills, a high level of learning agility, and the ability to work across functions.
- The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the leadership and communication skills necessary to operate effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment with flexibility and an adaptable approach to goal delivery.
Salary : $155,000
