We currently have a role available for a Pharma Structural Biochemist.

Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Engaging in hands-on laboratory involvement throughout the process of protein expression, purification, and crystallization.
• Generating crystals of protein-small molecule complexes.
• Collecting X-ray diffraction data.
• Communicating scientific results and insights to the team.
• Identifying, evaluating, and managing vendors for outsourced services.
• Managing laboratory supply ordering and coordinating laboratory equipment maintenance.
• Proactively investigating new or different technologies, methods, and service providers to ensure scientifically sound, efficient, and reasonable work.

Job requirements include, but are not limited to:

• BS-Biochemistry, Chemistry or a related field with minimum of 5 years of industrial (pharma preferred) lab experience outside of academia, 3 years of protein purification and crystallization experience. MS in the same fields with 2 years of industrial lab experience outside of academia will also be considered.
• Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
• Works well both as a team and as an individual.
• Demonstration of excellent team player skills, very strong attention to detail, very strong problem-solving skills, a high level of learning agility, and the ability to work across functions. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the leadership and communication skills necessary to operate effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment with flexibility and an adaptable approach to goal delivery.
