What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Innkeeper position at Cogent Talent Solutions?
Our Assistant Innkeeper will help our Innkeeper oversee and coordinate daily operations of the Timberholm Inn to ensure the highest standards for guest experience including homemade breakfasts, clean rooms and common spaces, and a welcoming and safe atmosphere. The ideal candidate will be positive, energetic, and knowledgeable in property rental and hospitality with a love of cooking or baking. A hands-on approach to all aspects of daily operations is a must. Our ideal candidate must have a flexible schedule- available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed and within reason. It is our expectation that our staff treats all guests as family. \n- Greet guests when they arrive, prior to departure, and during breakfast
- Be available on call for guest inquiries and requests during scheduled shifts
- Anticipate guest needs and respond in a courteous, professional manner
- Ensure all areas of the inn are cleaned and stocked for guests, including guest rooms, common areas, and outdoor facilities
- Housekeeping support including monitoring hired staff and completing cleaning duties part time and when necessary to fill in
- Assist Innkeeper with deep cleaning when necessary
- Daily breakfast preparation during set times, buffet style service, and clean up
- Upkeep of coffee/tea/water station throughout the day
- Work with Timberholm Team to respond to phone calls and other guest correspondence
- Inspect rooms and all common areas daily and promptly addresses any issues that may be present
- Communicate with management to report maintenance and repair needs in a timely manner
- Identify and take corrective action on problems as they arise
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining proper inventory of all supplies for cleaning, kitchen, guest toiletries, etc.
- Complete administrative duties in a timely and accurate manner
- Participate in weekly Timberholm Team Huddle
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal
- Valid state issued driver’s license and current auto insurance
- Basic computer skills
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
