We consult, sell, install, and support a variety of technologies for healthcare facilities. Overview

As an Apple Desktop Support Technician, you’ll help deepen our customers' trust in Apple technology by providing exceptional technical assistance, mentorship, and guidance. Your diagnostic skills and passion for outstanding customer service will create a seamless experience, allowing healthcare professionals to excel in their critical roles.
This role will report to the Cogent Service Manager and the on-site hospital lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Desktop Support: Provide first-line support for Microsoft OS and Apple iOS devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
- Peripheral Device Management: Troubleshoot and maintain peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, monitors, and other hardware components.
- Diagnose and resolve product issues with patience and compassion.
- Assist customers with macOS features, tools, and tips, including:
- Keyboard shortcuts and gestures
- File and folder navigation
- System Settings customization
- Mission Control and Stage Manager optimization
- Desktop Widgets and window adjustments
- Maintain and troubleshoot Apple hardware, software, and integrations.
- Deploy devices and ensure proper administrative and network settings.
- Log computer specifications, accessories, and printer locations.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in IT or related field preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a desktop support role.
- Experience supporting Microsoft OS and Apple iOS environments.
- Familiarity with mobile devices, Computers on Wheels (COWs), and peripheral devices.
- Exposure to business and clinical systems is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Technical Proficiency:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and remote desktop tools.
- Basic networking knowledge (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, Wi-Fi).
- Knowledge of IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow) is a plus.
Working Conditions
- Onsite role requiring regular interaction with end users and equipment.
- Must be willing to work in a hospital setting and be on your feet all day.
- May require occasional lifting of equipment (up to 75 lbs).
- Potential for off-hours or weekend support as needed.
- May be required to work weekends and holidays.
- May be required to work various shifts.
Schedule
- 8-hour shifts, Monday – Friday.
- Day shift and evening shift available (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM).
- Work at multiple locations in the metro Atlanta area.
