Job Summary
The Accounts Payable Analyst position is designed to be an integral part of the company by providing exceptional customer service to vendors and internal Associates and to provide analytical support. The role will be primarily responsible for processing a high volume of invoices including credit and debit memos, and account reconciliations. The Accounts Payable Analyst position will assist and learn duties of the payment run process.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Analysis of accounts payable and vendor discounts.
· Process invoices and related transactions according to documented policies and procedures.
· Review and evaluate policies and procedures bringing recommendations for improvement to Controller.
· Monitor and assist managing Accounts Payable Aging including prepayments, unvouchered receipts, and returns.
· Obtain approvals and supporting information for AP invoices in a timely manner.
· Mentor and assist other Accounts Payable Associates.
· Account reconciliation and proactive communication with vendors.
· Perform AP related month-end closing tasks such as accrued expense schedule.
· Assist with management of vendor listing, ensure W-9 and setup information as required.
· Assist with Form 1099 preparation.
· Track recuring service and program purchases.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
· Understanding of AP vouchering, credit, and debit memos.
· Strong Excel skills
· Epicor experience a plus.
Working Environment
Generally works in an office environment, but may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting.
Physical Requirements
· Interaction with people and technology while either standing or sitting.
· Must be able to communicate face-to-face and on the phone.
