We are looking for Head of Creative AI Research to lead and drive research in the Creative AI domain, fostering innovation and advancing the lab's strategic goals in generative AI technologies.

Reporting to the Head of Research, the Head of Creative AI Research will be asked to steer and advance research into Creative AI within the lab, aligning with overarching research and business objectives. The scope of this role includes financial management and operational impact within the lab's budget and revenue frameworks.

Key Responsibilities include :

• Strategic Leadership : Define and drive the research agenda for Creative AI, including next-generation language models, evolutionary discovery, and open-ended exploration.
• Innovation : Identify new research opportunities to advance Creative AI, fostering breakthroughs through cutting-edge exploration processes.
• Collaboration : Work closely with the Head of Research to align team efforts with intellectual property goals and lab strategies.
• Research Standards : Ensure robust methodologies are applied for meaningful and reproducible outcomes.
• Application Focus : Liaise with development teams to translate research findings into practical AI tools and applications.
• Community Engagement : Maintain active participation in the AI research community, staying informed on global trends and promoting lab contributions.
• Mentorship : Guide and develop junior researchers, fostering professional growth and leadership.

Experience Sought :

The annual salary for this position is between $184,500 - $293,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
