About the role
As a Technical Architect - at Salesforce, you will be responsible for engineering, architecting, and delivering premier solutions for our customers, producing enterprise-standard implementations demonstrating the platform's full capabilities, and leading delivery teams to deliver high-quality solutions on Salesforce.com. You will be responsible for delivering tailored solutions involving complex UX / UI, real-time and batch integrations, water-tight security, and custom automation.
- 12 years of experience with Salesforce as a whole; Decision-making experience between code vs. config; Experience in building custom applications using APEX and Lightning Web Components
- 10 years of Strong Salesforce customization and configuration experience
- 8 years of Experience building business solutions using the Salesforce Lightning Platform and Sales Cloud
- 4 years of experience in building custom applications using the Salesforce Platform for the Media and entertainment industry and integrating with SAP finance module (Purchase Orders, Invoices, Good Received, etc.)
- Minimum 3 year of hands-on experience in Custom Lightning Component development, APEX and REST API
- Build Technical Solution Design using custom re-usable Lightning Components.
- Ability to analyze / identify gaps in functional / business requirements, discuss with functional and client product owners required changes that align with Salesforce product stack and architecture
- Lead system design activities or review system designs to ensure that application solutions will exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability, and reliability upon deployment into the production environment
- Responsible for Designing Solutions leveraging the Salesforce best practices
- Update and provide standard configuration documents and artifacts
- Play technical SME role on projects to design Salesforce Solution design, provide technical walk-throughs to Salesforce developers and client features owners
- Provide Technical Leadership on projects by providing necessary guidance to junior team members to follow Salesforce best practices
- Accountable for Salesforce technical delivery - Build, System Testing handover / co-ordination, Tech. documentation and deployment activities
- Manage post-Go Live support from offshore
- Along with the Product Analyst / BA, will be the owner of any newly formed POD within the domain. Will be responsible for guiding the POD and ensuring they reach par performance within a stipulated timeframe
- Salesforce Expertise :
- Deep understanding of Salesforce platforms (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Lightning).
- Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web components.
- Knowledge of web services, databases, and security practices.
- SFDC Development & Customization, Salesforce DevOPS, SFDC Sales Cloud, SFDC Lightning, SFDC Configuration
- Knowledge of Product Development Lifecycle and DevOps Tools like GIT, Jenkins, JIRA etc.
- A thorough understanding of the Salesforce Deployment Process and tools like ANT, Change Sets and Force.com IDE
- System Design and Integration :
- Ability to design scalable and maintainable architecture and solutions.
- Expertise in integrating various systems with Salesforce.
- Proven integration experience using integration techniques - REST, SOAP APIs, OAuth, and Single Sign-On
- Ability to work collaboratively in a creative, Agile environment and manage Agile task assignments
- Business Acumen : Understanding of business processes and strategic objectives.
- Experience building custom Salesforce Applications in Finance domain and have understanding about Purchase Orders, Invoices, Good receipts etc.

The annual salary for this position is between $170,000 - 190,000, depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
