Senior Performance Engineer
Location : Austin, TX
Required Qualifications :
- Minimum 3 years of proven hands-on software performance engineering experience.
- Define, develop and apply performance / scalability benchmarks.
- Work in cross-functional teams to characterize, debug, and improve system performance and scalability.
- Work efficiently with various profiling tools to identify performance bottlenecks and provide root cause analysis.
- Plan and implement performance tests using an automated testing environment and conduct analysis of results.
- Experience in tools - LoadRunner Enterprise, Apache JMeter, SoapUI, Postman.
- Strong Python scripting and framework creation experience
- Good understanding of Java
- Strong experience in identifying, debugging and performance tuning of virtual machines, Memory / CPU usage issues, thread unlocking etc.
- Good exposure in cloud technology (AWS), Kubernetes and DevOps tools / technologies
- Experience in data analysis and visualization, end-to-end performance, and root cause analysis.
- Experience / understanding of the app / environment architecture, service-oriented architecture, and RESTful APIs.
- Strong knowledge of performance-tuning SQL queries.
- Extensive hands-on experience with JVM tuning techniques.
- Experience with application performance monitoring tools like Dynatrace, and AppDynamics.
- Efficiently work with various profiling tools to identify performance bottlenecks.
- Ability to learn quickly
- Effective communication skills
