Software Developer (Drupal, Istio, SQL, REST/API)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Developer with 8 to 12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in a wide range of technical skills including Drupal Istio SQL REST / API Service Testing Terraform Spring Boot NoSQL Node.js and more. The candidate should also have domain experience in Airlines. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality code for various applications using technologies such as Drupal Istio SQL and REST / API Service Testing.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform to ensure scalable and reliable deployments.
• Design and build microservices using Spring Boot and Node.js to support various business functions.
• Ensure data integrity and performance by working with NoSQL databases.
• Create and manage authentication and authorization mechanisms using SAML OAUTH and other security protocols.
• Develop and maintain front-end components using HTML CSS and JavaScript.
• Write and maintain Unix Shell Scripts for automation and task management.
• Utilize Docker Containers for application deployment and orchestration.
• Implement CI / CD pipelines using Jenkins to streamline the development process.
• Manage API lifecycle using AXWAY Amplify Central AXWAY API Builder and AXWAY API Gateway.
• Conduct API testing using tools like Stop Light Swagger Hub and Postman.
• Ensure application security by implementing best practices and using tools like Ping Federate and JSON Web Token.
• Manage cloud infrastructure and load balancers to ensure application availability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure continuous improvement.
• Document technical specifications and processes for future reference.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and standards.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and data protection regulations.
• Contribute to the overall success of the project by delivering high-quality reliable and scalable software solutions.

Salary and Other Compensation :

The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 to $116,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
