What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Analyst position at Cognizant Technology Solutions?
Cognizant is a large IT Consulting Firm that leverages modern technologies to improve a variety of businesses. We are looking for a new Inventory Analyst to join our team in Palo Alto. This role is considered hybrid but is mostly onsite. Inventory Analysts are the intermediary between the Field Solutions and Logistics teams. This role will help ensure material gets distributed to the required locations throughout the product life cycle.
Some examples of included materials :
- Field Replaceable Units (FRUs) for field repairs
- Devices used to support sensor platforms
- Items for production builds
- SO-report hardware for production builds and spares
- Raw materials for hubs / facilities
- Items required for development and prototyping projects
Tasks & Responsibilities
Daily / Weekly Tasks :
Request inbound / outbound material movements for field (repairs, remote refurbishments, field upgrades, and builds).
Usage and / or disposition needs to be included in request to ensure accurate material movement
Includes opening launch tickets, material requests, etc
Platforms deploying or returning from field
Production builds
Monthly / Quarterly Tasks
Bi-annual / Annual Responsibilities
Hubs

Salary and Other Compensation :
The hourly rate for this position is between $32 - $35 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
