Lead Developer.
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Developer with 6 to 10 years of experience in Microservices, Kafka, AWS, Java 11, Java 8, Java, and Vert.x. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT Operations or Broadcasting domains. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and make a significant impact on our company success.
Work Location: Atlanta GA - Hybrid (3 days).
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of microservices-based applications using Java 11, Java 8, and Vert.x
- Oversee the implementation of Kafka for real-time data streaming and messaging.
- Provide expertise in AWS cloud services to ensure scalable and secure application deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to maintain code quality.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Mentor junior developers and help them grow their technical skills.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.
- Work closely with IT Operations and Broadcasting teams to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for reference and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards.
The annual salary for this position is between $90K - $120K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
