Program Manager (Mobile application development)

Roles & Responsibilities :
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Drive Agile best practices across teams, ensuring efficient sprint planning, backlog grooming, and program increment (PI) planning.
Collaborate with iOS and Android development teams to manage app release cycles, feature roadmaps, and ongoing enhancements.
Partner with cross-functional teams, including Product, IT, UX / UI Design, Marketing, and Operations, to ensure program goals are met.
Integrate aviation-specific needs into mobile app features, leveraging knowledge of industry standards, operations, and customer behaviors.
Champion user-centric design and functionality by incorporating customer feedback and industry trends into program deliverables.
Identify potential risks, dependencies, and obstacles, proactively creating mitigation plans to keep programs on track.
Utilize analytics and performance metrics to measure program success and drive continuous improvement.
Provide clear and concise updates to senior leadership, ensuring transparency on program status, challenges, and achievements.
Qualifications :
10 years of experience in program / project management.
Proven success in mobile application development or managing large, complex programs.
Extensive experience managing programs in Agile environments, including frameworks such as Scrum, or Kanban.
Aviation industry experience or knowledge of airline operations is highly preferred.
Familiarity with mobile app development lifecycles, CI / CD pipelines, and tools such as Rally / ADO, or similar platforms.
Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence without authority, and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.
Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with a track record of resolving complex program challenges.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to technical and non-technical audiences.
Bachelor's in business administration, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA or equivalent is a plus.

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 - $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
