**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Data Scientist to lead our data science initiatives, specifically focusing on developing and implementing Price Elasticity, Promotional Effectiveness, and Decomposition Models. This role will play a critical part in driving data-driven decision-making and optimizing pricing strategies to enhance business performance.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead the development and implementation of advanced statistical models to analyze price elasticity, promotional effectiveness, and sales decomposition.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and product management, to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Design and conduct experiments to test pricing and promotional strategies, and analyze the results to provide actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support model development and deployment.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Communicate complex analytical concepts and results to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and statistical modeling techniques.
**Qualifications:**
- Master's in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing price elasticity, promotional effectiveness, and decomposition models.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
- Expertise in machine learning techniques, statistical modeling, and data analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
- Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms Azure is a plus.
**Preferred Skills:**
- Experience in the retail or consumer goods industry.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools Power BI or any other UI tool for Scenario building
- Knowledge of A/B testing and experimental design
Salary and Other Compensation:Applications will be accepted until Jan 3rd 2025.
