Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Architect with 9 to 12 years of experience in AS/400 Utilities CLLE DB2/400 CLP and AS400/COBOL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Property & Casualty Insurance. This hybrid role requires a candidate who can work effectively both remotely and on-site during day shifts. Travel is not required.
Work Authorization: Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality software solutions using AS/400 Utilities CLLE DB2/400 CLP and AS400/COBOL.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for Property & Casualty
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure the successful implementation of software projects.
- Oversee the integration of new technologies and systems into existing infrastructure.
- Ensure that all software solutions are scalable maintainable and meet industry standards.
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for all software projects.
- Conduct regular performance assessments and optimize systems for improved efficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure continuous improvement.
- Participate in project planning and provide accurate time estimates for development tasks.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that software solutions align with business goals and objectives.
- Coordination with Customer Business, Customer IT Stakeholders,3rd Parties, Interface Teams, Offshore Team etc."
Qualifications
- Possess a minimum of 9 years of experience in AS/400 Utilities CLLE DB2/400 CLP and AS400/COBOL.
- Have a strong background in Property & Casualty Insurance.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Exhibit strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Show proficiency in designing and developing scalable software solutions.
- Have experience in performing code reviews and providing feedback.
- Be capable of troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills

Salary:
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
