Asset Manager/Procurement Specialist
Location: Anywhere in United States, remote
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Asset and Configuration Manager with 9 to 13 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Supply Chain procurement Project Procurement Management and Asset Management. This hybrid role requires strong technical skills and the ability to manage the asset life cycle effectively. The position operates during day shifts and does not require travel.
Responsibilities:
- License/Asset Management - Processing purchase orders and tracking deliveries of IT assets. Maintaining detailed inventory records of hardware and software assets. Managing contract renewal schedules and deadlines.
- Budget Management, Cost Control, and Customer Collaboration - Coordinating with finance department for budget approvals and payment processing Analyzing IT spending patterns and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Implementing cost optimization strategies like bulk purchasing or consolidated licensing.
- Vendor Management - Maintaining relationships with key suppliers and handling vendor compliance
- Compliance and Risk Management - Ensuring procurement processes align with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Reviewing and maintaining documentation for audit purposes. Assessing and mitigating supply chain risks
- Strategic Planning and Process Improvement - Participating in IT strategic planning sessions. Developing long-term procurement strategies aligned with interpersonal goals. Finding opportunities for strategic partnerships with vendors Developing and maintaining procurement policies and procedures. Creating standardized templates for common procurement documents. Analyzing procurement metrics and suggesting process improvements
Required Qualifications:
- Expertise in Asset Management & IT Asset procurement
- Experience Budget Management, Cost Control, and Partner collaboration
- Experience in working with diff collaborators to streamline processes and process improvement
- Experience in Vendor management and Program Management
- Good Communication skill

Salary and Other Compensation:
- The annual salary for this position is [$73,350 to $116,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
- This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
