We are looking for talented engineers with backgrounds in Electrical and Computer Engineering for such roles as Vehicle Systems Engineering, Electrical Design and Release, High Voltage Wire Harness Design and Packaging, Embedded Software Development and Algorithm Research, AUTOSAR Model Based System Design, Validation, Hardware in the Loop Integration, Functional Safety, Vehicle Triage, SWAT and Launch Support, etc.

Job Overview

The Wireless Cellular / Radio Engineer is responsible for the development of standards, solution architectures and roadmaps for Cellular and Radio Infrastructure. This individual will work with business-facing teams and users to design appropriate solutions that meet business requirements for cellular network demands across North America locations.

This individual successfully analyzes requirements and designs technical solutions for complex problems. This person evaluates technical and economic feasibility of systems solutions (e.g. costs, benefits, feature / functionality, interoperability, scalability, maintainability, etc.) based on the full technology life cycle. The person in this role will support the department’s objectives by ensuring the stability and availability of cellular / radio network hardware and software, by planning capacity of the Cellular Infrastructure for Campus, Manufacturing sites, Data Centers and other remote sites. The Cellular Engineer collaborates with other network teams (LAN, WAN, Security) and domain architects to evaluate and introduce new technology standards.

Key Responsibilities

Support Private Cellular initiatives including proof of concepts and production deployments.
Own and fulfill small to large strategic or tactical private cellular projects.
Function as point of escalation for project execution issues.
Help design, test, and implement new cellular / radio solutions and proof of concepts.
Help with the vendor and solution selection process.
Lead weekly project status meetings.
Conduct and / or coordinate site surveys, develop site plans to gain total coverage of facility.
Coordinate resources, track execution, and validate new deployments, upgrades, and expansions.
Supervise and / or perform site installs, maintenance, upgrades, or software enhancements to support the cellular DAS / Private Cellular infrastructure needs.
Function as a point of escalation for operational issues, work with vendors for timely resolution.
Submit and track change management for all cellular / radio systems.
Monitor system for trouble areas and proactively resolve and document root cause.
Support service tickets as needed while engaged on enterprise cellular developments.
Engage with manufacturer technical support centers to quickly resolve issues as they arise.
Create / maintain Operational Support Guides and any other documentation.
Travel to site when required to support deployments, testing, and validation.

Required Qualifications

BS in EE, Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.

8 years of professional experience.

High level teaming and communication skills to influence and persuade others.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and present concepts and recommendations to management.

Experience with cellular distributed antenna systems and signal boosting solutions.

Experience designing and deploying private cellular solutions (private 4G / 5G on licensed and / or CBRS spectrums).

Strong understanding of network technologies and TCP / IP protocols (LAN, WAN, WLAN) and firewall.

Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with analysis and performance evaluation tools such as Wireshark, iPerf, etc.

Extensive experience with wireless technologies, knowledge of RF and LTE networks.

Willingness and ability to learn new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher qualifications.

Experience designing and deploying private cellular network solutions.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr Analyst with 3 to 7 years of experience in Network Inter-operability Core Network - Wireless Radio Access Network, Network Function Virtualization, 5G Private Networks, Wireless System Integration, and 5G Networks. The ideal candidate should have domain experience in GSM, EDGE, GPRS, 2G, 3G, and 4G / LTE. Experience in CDMA Wireless and Wireless Equipment is a plus. This is a hybrid role with day shifts and may require travel.

Responsibilities

Lead the analysis and optimization of network inter-operability to ensure seamless communication across different network systems.

Oversee the implementation and maintenance of core network components for wireless communication.

Provide expertise in radio access network design and troubleshooting to enhance network performance.

Implement network function virtualization to improve network efficiency and scalability.

Manage the deployment and operation of 5G private networks to meet specific organizational needs.

Conduct wireless system integration to ensure cohesive operation of all network components.

Drive the development and optimization of 5G networks to deliver high-speed low-latency connectivity.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network solutions meet business requirements.

Analyze and resolve complex network issues to maintain high levels of network reliability and performance.

Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the network infrastructure remains cutting-edge.

Provide technical support and training to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all network-related activities.

Qualifications

Must have experience in Network Inter-operability Core Network.

Wireless Radio Access Network, Network Function Virtualization, 5G Private Networks, Wireless System Integration, and 5G Networks.

Must have domain experience in GSM, EDGE, GPRS, 2G, 3G, and 4G / LTE.

Nice to have domain experience in CDMA Wireless and Wireless Equipment.

Should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must have excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Should be able to work effectively in a hybrid work model.

Must be willing to travel as required.
