Job Title Data Modeler (Remote)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler with 8 to 12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Data Modeling. Additionally experience in Supply Chain Management and Supply Chain - Consumer Goods is required. This is a hybrid role with day shifts and no travel required.

Responsibilities

• Data Modeler
• Skill: Data Modeling
• Be responsible for the design and implementation of Lakehouse architectures to support data-driven decision making.
• Be responsible for the development and optimization of Spark Job Definitions to ensure efficient data processing.
• Guide on OneLake to handle and analyze large datasets optimally.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries to support data analysis and reporting needs.
• Use PySpark to build and deploy scalable data pipelines.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure data integrity and security across all data platforms.
• Supervise and solve data workflows to ensure smooth operations.
• Implement standard processes for data management and governance.
• Give to the continuous improvement of data architecture and processes.
• Mentor and guide junior team members in technical skills and standard methodologies.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the companys data architecture remains innovative.
• Drive innovation in data solutions to improve the companys supply chain management capabilities.
  
  

Qualifications

• Must have solid experience in Lakehouse architecture and implementation.
• Required expertise in Spark Job Definition for efficient data processing.
• Must be proficient in OneLake for handling large datasets.
• Required strong SQL skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Must have experience with PySpark for building scalable data pipelines.
• Required domain experience in Supply Chain Management and Supply Chain
• Consumer Goods.
• Nice to have experience in hybrid work models and day shifts.
• Must have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Required good communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Nice to have experience mentoring junior team members.
• Required ability to stay updated with industry trends and technologies.
• Must have a proactive approach to driving innovation in data solutions.
  
  

Salary And Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until April 27, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $81,000 - $155,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
