Job Description:
Qualifications:
- Resource must have 8 years of Informatica Admin experience in Linux platforms
- Must have Installation & Configuration Informatica Power center and DEI (Big Data Edition): Install and configure Informatica PowerCenter\DEI, Repository Service, and Integration Service
- Must have Informatica Power center upgrade experience
- Good to have Informatica DEI upgrade experience
- Good to have Hadoop, IDMC\IICS and cloud Technology experience
- Good to have scripting Knowledge
- Good communication skills Oral & Written
Responsibilities:
- Upgrades and Migration: Manage version upgrades, migration of workflows and mappings between environments (Development, QA, Production)
- Manage the Informatica platform components related to configuration, security, and connectivity;
- Liaison: Liaise with Systems Administrators, Management, UNIX Administrators, Network Administrators, and DBAs to schedule and implement changes;
- Performance Tuning: Monitor and tune the performance of Informatica jobs, workflows, and mappings for optimal efficiency
- User Management: Create and manage user roles, permissions, and security settings within Informatica
- Backup & Recovery: Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies for Informatica repositories and configurations
- Monitoring & Support: Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and provide support for Informatica-related queries
- Collaboration: Work closely with ETL developers, data architects, and business analysts to ensure alignment and support for data integration initiatives
- Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure adherence to best practices and compliance with organizational policies regarding data governance. Demonstrate knowledge in logical and physical data modeling, data integration best practices, tools, and technologies
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and best practices
Certifications Required
PowerCenter Data Integration 10 Administrator Professional Certification
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
