Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Java AWS Senior Developer to join our team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of Java-based applications on AWS. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Location: Atlanta, GA or Raleigh, NC.

*Candidate is required to be in the office 3 days a week*

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Proven hands-on Software Development experience

· Proven working experience in Java development

· Understand the current application infrastructure and migrate application to AWS cloud platform.

· Implement the applications CI/CD pipeline using AWS CI/CD stack.

· Agile/Scrum planning and process involvement.

· APIs and Modular development.

· Knowledge of GitFlow, DevOPs, Continuous Deployment and/or integration.

· Must Have Work Experience - Cloud Full Stack Java Developer

· Understanding of the AWS architecture, and the core AWS services that makes AWS standout among all the cloud vendors.

· Hands on experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining applications.

· Working knowledge of application that utilizes key AWS services such as AWS database, notifications, and workflow services, as well as its storage and change management system.

· Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Having used ECS or EKS.

· Proficiency in Java/J2EE language and C experience in the past is plus.

· Ability to trouble shoot distributed system.

· Good background in Linux/Unix administration.

Required Qualifications:

· AWS (Cloud Experience)

· Java (Spring Boot)

· OpenShift

· J2EE - Web application framework and API technologies like jQuery, AngularJS, Swagger and Spring Boot.

· DB2/Oracle - Database Skill set

· Linux platform background

· Agile process knowledge.

· Security Standards - SOX, PCI compliance

· Design Techniques

Salary and Other Compensation:

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
