Job Summary

Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Java Software Engineer with experience developing and building hard-working, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications.

Our engineers have a passion for high-quality, reliability, and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. Our engineers are agile and retrospective, and not afraid to identify what we’re doing wrong, so we can fix it, and what we’re doing right, so we can improve on it. Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions to meet business requirements.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of Java applications ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features.
• Ensure the scalability performance and security of cloud-based applications.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• JAVA development with above 8 years’ experience.
• Hands on experience in JAVA latest versions, Spring boot, Microservices, SQL.
• Possess a strong understanding of cloud concepts and their application in real-world scenarios.
• Demonstrate extensive experience in Java development with a focus on building scalable and maintainable applications.
• Have a background in Supply Chain Management-Serv Retail which is considered a plus.
• Show proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
• Exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
