Authoring business requirements for functionality to be delivered as part of the TriZetto product portfolio. Collaborating with other stakeholders to create the high-level designs and the detailed functional design artifacts that will be used to develop TriZetto products and solutions. Serving as a subject matter expert in all areas of the software development life cycle (i.e., software engineering, quality assurance, and technical communications), assists customer support, sales and consulting/implementation services.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree.
Required Experience
Minimum of five years' related experience in a software development environment.

The annual salary for this position is between $92K-$109K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

- Design, Develop and unit test software components pertaining to the area of assignment within the product, following the laid down development & quality processes
- Follow the coding standard and software engineering processes defined within the product team
- Participate in the scrum ceremonies
- Work collaboratively within a Scrum team to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks within deadlines
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of existing software applications
- Develop unit tests and create comprehensive code documentation
- Engage in design reviews and provide constructive feedback for improvements
- Provide training and mentorship to other engineers as needed
- Create effective technical solutions that meet business requirements
- Take responsibility for maintaining the quality of the software code
- Participate in research and development activities, risk assessment, and mitigation efforts
- Suggest new technologies to improve quality and productivity
