We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Program Manager with extensive expertise in the telecom domain. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in program management, a deep understanding of telecom infrastructure, and the ability to drive complex projects to successful completion. This role demands exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills to manage diverse teams, stakeholders, and project deliverables effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation. Ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.

• Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams, to gather requirements, address issues, and report on project progress.

• Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, providing guidance, motivation, and support to ensure project goals are met.

• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations. Implement best practices in project management and telecom industry standards.

• Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial objectives are achieved.

• Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns promptly.

• Documentation: Create and maintain thorough project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-project evaluations.

• Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is highly desirable.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the telecom industry, managing projects of varying complexity.

• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of telecom technologies, including network infrastructure, wireless communication, and data transmission.

• Project Management Tools: Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, JIRA, or similar tools.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

• Client Focus: Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships and delivering projects that meet or exceed client expectations.

• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

• Familiarity with telecom regulatory compliance and industry standards.

• Experience in managing international projects and working with global teams.

• Knowledge of telecom OSS/BSS systems

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
