Job description: Candidate with a good QA functional testing background with good knowledge on API testing, and an ability to write basic to complex SQL queries. Should have work experience in Agile env working with JIRA tool.

Key Responsibilities

• Good Functional testing knowledge experience to assess software quality through manual testing
• Write and execute simple to medium SQL queries to validate data and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand any dependencies.
• Should have Agile and JIRA working experience. Evaluate API/web services using Postman or SOAP UI.
• Analyze and troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and provide solutions.
• Evaluate product code according to specifications.
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects
  
  

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess software quality through manual testing with strong SQL knowledge.
• Detect and report bugs and glitches.
• Review and analyze system specifications.
• Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans.
• Execute test cases manual or automated and analyze results.
• Evaluate product code according to specifications.
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
• Report bugs and errors to development teams.
• Help troubleshoot issues.
• Conduct post release post-implementation testing.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle. Evaluate API/web services using Postman or SOAP UI.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 6-9 yrs. of Functional testing exp with Agile experience
• Functional testing exp with Agile environment
• Good experience in writing simple to complex SQL queries
• Should have good experience in testing diff API’s
• Good knowledge on JIRA in writing test cases, and test execution
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  
  

Salary And Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until May 16, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $53,477- $92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
