Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will understand business requirements in a BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights. This role involves creating dashboards and interactive visual reports using Power BI, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs), and analyzing data to aid decision-making.
The Senior BI Developer will convert business requirements into technical specifications, define timelines, and develop robust data models. You will design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI scripts, perform detailed analytics, and optimize the ETL processes. Effective communication and collaboration with team members and stakeholders are crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

- Identify and monitor KPIs.
- Analyze data and present it through reports for decision-making.
- Convert business requirements into technical specifications and set timelines.
- Develop tabular and multidimensional data models.
- Create charts and document data relationships.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI scripts.
- Perform DAX queries and functions in Power BI.
- Analyze and define ETL processes.
- Develop data warehouses and work with SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS.
- Enhance existing BI systems.
- Create and customize charts and calculations.
- Design and deploy business intelligence solutions.
- Perform SQL querying for data analysis.
- Collaborate with team members for continuous improvement.
