Oversee mid- to large-scale development programs for retail clients
Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Delivery Manager with strong program management and delivery leadership experience to oversee mid- to large-scale development programs for retail clients.
This role will focus on driving successful delivery within a complex multi-year initiative (3 years) and ensuring alignment with program objectives, KPIs, and client expectations.
As a critical member of the onshore team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the delivery lifecycle, including program budgets, resource planning, and agile processes.
Key Responsibilities
Program Oversight: Track overall delivery and program KPIs, ensuring progress aligns with established goals and timelines.
Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for client communications, addressing queries, updates, and escalations effectively.
Budget and Resource Management: Manage program budgets, staffing, and resources to ensure delivery efficiency and financial accountability.
SOW Management: Oversee Statements of Work (SOWs) to meet contractual obligations and scope requirements.
Agile Practices: Demonstrate a solid understanding of Agile methodologies, including 2-week sprint planning, PI (Program Increment) planning, and managing daily Scrum of Scrums at the onshore location.
Roadmap Tracking: Develop and maintain the program roadmap, ensuring all deliverables are on schedule and aligned with business priorities.
Cloud Platform Familiarity: Leverage knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) to facilitate program delivery.
Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with offshore and onshore teams to foster seamless coordination and delivery.
Requirements
Strong understanding of Retail ERP & POS Systems including cloud-based and AI-driven solutions.
Strong understanding Omnichannel Retail, Payment's systems, stores, Merchandising.
Proven experience as a Program Manager or Delivery Lead managing complex development programs.
Solid understanding of Agile frameworks and delivery models, including sprint-based processes and PI planning.
Availability to work during Pacific Time Zone hours to ensure onshore program leadership.
Ability to navigate complex, multi-year programs with a strong strategic and delivery-focused approach.
Preferred Skills
Experience in development programs involving full-stack engineers and/or a DevOps development model.
Strong ability to manage large-scale, multi-team efforts with clear communication and problem-solving skills.
Salary And Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $100,470 to $208,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
