Job title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Infra. Technology Specialist with 6 to 10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Terraform GitHub (DevOps) DevOps Docker AWS DevOps Release Management and GitHub Copilot. Experience in Property & Casualty Insurance is a plus. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel required.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions using Terraform to ensure efficient and scalable deployments.
- Oversee the management and optimization of DevOps pipelines using GitHub to streamline development processes.
- Provide expertise in Docker to manage containerized applications and ensure seamless integration and deployment.
- Implement and manage AWS DevOps solutions to enhance cloud infrastructure and improve operational efficiency.
- Oversee release management processes to ensure timely and successful software releases.
- Utilize GitHub Copilot to enhance coding efficiency and support development teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of infrastructure solutions with business objectives.
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues to ensure high availability and performance.
- Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes and configurations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams to ensure best practices are followed.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve infrastructure solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements in all infrastructure activities.
- Give to the overall success of the company by delivering reliable and efficient infrastructure solutions.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Proficiency in GitHub for managing DevOps pipelines.
- Strong expertise in Docker for containerization.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS DevOps for cloud infrastructure management.
- Experience in release management processes.
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot for enhanced coding support.
- Domain experience in Property & Casualty Insurance is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and fixing skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in a hybrid work model with day shifts.
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to infrastructure management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certifications Required
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Docker Certified Associate Terraform Certification
Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until March 14th, 2025.
The base annual salary for this position is between $91,000 to $107,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
