Our practice is seeking a highly qualified Senior Java Architect with experience in developing and building impactful, scalable, enterprise applications.

Location: Irving, TX, Tampa FL, Basking Bridge NJ, Alpharetta GA

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until February 24th, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $81,000 - $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

Requirements

• Collaborate with technology managers and the design team to discuss the goals and needs of the company.
• Examine and define current architecture systems.
• Design scalable architecture systems for Java-based applications.
• Identify the hardware and software infrastructure needs to accommodate the company’s architectural goals.
• Troubleshoot design flaws, system bottlenecks, and code quality issues.
• Perform validation tests to ensure the flexibility and scalability of the Java environment.
• Conduct system performance tests.
• Complete systems reports

Qualifications

• 10 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, Design Patterns, OpenShift, MQ, and system design.
• Ability to come up with appropriate solutions with pros and cons.
• BFS payment experience.
• Previous work experience in an architect role.
• Advanced knowledge of software architecture.
• Experience with the design and implementation of software networks.
• Experience with software design and web programming.
• High-level project management skills.
• Ability to solve complex software system issues.
