Position: Senior Full Stack Engineer , please note this is a fully onsite position in Charlotte , NC, there is no option for remote work mode.

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with 7 to 11 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS, SQL, Spring Boot, AngularJS, Java, JavaScript, and MySQL. Experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain is mandatory. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using AWS SQL Spring Boot Angular JS Java JavaScript and MySQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design develop and implement software applications.
• Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the software solutions remain current and effective.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Develop and execute unit tests to ensure the software meets the required standards.
• Implement security and data protection measures in software applications.
• Document software development processes and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Possess strong expertise in this areas as they are MUST HAVE : SQL Spring Boot Angular JS Java JavaScript and MySQL.
• Have extensive experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain.
• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Exhibit strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Show ability to work in a hybrid work model and adapt to changing environments.
• Have a proactive approach to learning and staying updated with new technologies.
• Display a strong understanding of software development best practices.

Certifications Required

AWS Certified Solutions Architect Oracle Certified Professional Java SE Programmer

The annual salary for this position is between $68,422 – $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
