Role: Senior Mainframe Engineer
Experience: 8 years of experience is mandatorily required
Location: We are ideally looking for candidates willing to work in a hybrid model from the client location in Alpharetta GA or Berkley Heights NJ. Remote work is not an option.
Hybrid Model – Day 1 Onsite
Hybrid Model – 3 days at Client’s Office & 2 days Remote, each week
Required Qualifications:
· 6 to 8 years of mainframe development experiences (all phases of software development life cycle) in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2
· Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing, Implementation of mainframe modules based on various customer project requirements
· Attending daily project status call with different customers across the globe
· Daily status call with offshore counterpart, day to day work assignment and review with offshore and moving to next phase
· Candidate should have expertise in COBOL, JCL, VSAM & DB2.
· Experience in Banking and Financial services domain is preferred.
Must have hands-on coding development experience. Experience with version control. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients and excellent problem-solving skills

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position depends on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
