Job Summary
Senior P&C Data Modeler
Our team is looking to standardize the data layer at the enterprise level and as a strategic approach they are looking to build canonical data models for all the subject areas and this requirement is for the Pricing Subject Area. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing canonical data models with a strong preference for familiarity and hands on experience with ACORD standards. This role will play a critical part in driving the consistency scalability and integration of enterprise data for flawless interoperability across systems.
Job Responsibilities
Minimum 8 years of experience in data modeling and enterprise data architecture with a focus on P&C Insurance
Solid understanding of P&C insurance data domains including pricing underwriting claims reinsurance and policy management
Confirmed experience implementing Canonical models in sophisticated enterprise environments
Expertise in ACORD standards and data models.
Proficiency in data modeling tools (Power designer Erwin / ER studio etc)
Solid grasp of relational dimensional and NoSQL data modeling techniques
Familiarity with data exchange protocols and integration Technologies (API ETL/ELT JSON XML etc)
Knowledge of Azure cloud data platforms and modern data architectures
Strong SQL and database design skills
Experience with actuarial models pricing engines and related data sources is a plus.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical collaborators.
Ability to reverse engineer and evolve business requirements collaboratively with business users
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $[150,000 – 170,000 USD] depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
