Software Cloud Engineer Lead (Hybrid)
Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Cloud Engineer with experience in .Net framework, AWS cloud and SQL server. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications. Our engineers have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable and secure cloud architecture using AWS Platform. Oversee program budgets, costs, and profits to ensure financial targets are met.
- Strategic planning, process analysis and execution skills for introducing evolving architecture-based solutions like Cloud, SaaS, and new UI frameworks.
- Drive automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Work with multi-functional teams to guarantee seamless integration of DevOps practices.
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
- Develop and maintain documentation for architecture, processes, and procedures.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards for cloud security and governance.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in adopting standard methodologies and improving their technical skills.
- Engage with partners to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technologies and DevOps practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or 8 years of relevant experience in program management.
- Main skills required: AWS cloud services, .Net Framework, SQL server.
- Demonstrated experience in .NET applications development.
- Experience in designing and/or implementing solutions in AWS Services (S3, IAM, EC2, EMR, SQS, RDS, CloudFormation, etc.), CICD tools (GIT, GitHUb Actions/ Jenkins, Nexus, AWS CodeCommit, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodeDeploy etc) and/or Terraform, Ansible
- Experience in SQL Server DB.
- Experience (or equivalent training/certification) in designing and/or implementing data delivery solutions using Data Platforms (Oracle, Snowflake, S3, RDS etc.) or Data Management (Cataloging, Lineage, Quality, MDM etc.).
Salary and compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $70K – $135K depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
