Sr. Dev Ops Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Infra Developer with 12 to 14 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Amazon Kubernetes Services Openshift Docker Container and Kubernetes. Experience in Airport Vendor Management is a plus. This hybrid role requires working during the day shift with no travel required.

Location : Denver, Colorado

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions using Amazon Kubernetes Services Openshift Docker Container and Kubernetes.
• Oversee the deployment and management of containerized applications to ensure high availability and scalability.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers on best practices and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement infrastructure requirements and solutions.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline deployment processes and improve efficiency.
• Monitor and optimize system performance ensuring reliability and security of the infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to container orchestration and infrastructure.
• Conduct regular reviews and audits of the infrastructure to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the infrastructure.
• Document infrastructure designs processes and procedures for reference and training purposes.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for infrastructure management.
• Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth and efficient deployment of applications.
• Contribute to the overall success of the company by ensuring the infrastructure supports business goals and objectives.

Qualifications

• Possess extensive experience with Amazon Kubernetes Services Openshift Docker Container and Kubernetes.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Have excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Show a proactive approach to learning and staying current with industry trends and technologies.
• Experience in Airport Vendor Management is a plus providing valuable domain knowledge.
• Exhibit strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing infrastructure projects.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior developers in best practices and technical skills.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing containerized applications.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure security and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects from start to finish.
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages for infrastructure management.
• Experience with hybrid work models and the ability to adapt to changing work environments.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet business needs and objectives.

Certifications Required

Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 12/10/2024

The Salary for this position will be 99,000 to 133,000 yearly depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
